Our response to MOH consultation

You can read our submission in response to the Government's discussion document 'Putting Patients First: Modernising health workforce regulation' below.

Background

On 28 March 2025, the Government advised they’re holding a consultation to review the regulation of our health workforce and inviting New Zealanders to share their views. Some of the proposed changes include:

  • a review of the Health Practitioners Competence Assurance Act 2003
  • the amalgamation of responsible authorities (regulators/RAs).
