Consultation: proposed fee changes 2026/2027

17 Oct, 2025

Te Poari Ringa Hangarau Iraruke | The Medical Radiation Technologists Board (the Board) is responsible for setting fees for services provided to practitioners, under the Health Practitioners Competence Assurance Act (2003). The Board can also charge a levy to help cover disciplinary costs.

The Board is proposing a fee increase for the 2026–2027 financial year. Most fees will go up, including the Practising Certificate fee, which would increase from $495.00 to $510.00 (including GST). However, we’re proposing to keep the disciplinary levy at $34.50 (including GST).

We’d like to hear what you think about this proposal. All feedback will be considered before the Board makes a final decision. If the fees change, we’ll let you know and publish a notice in the New Zealand Gazette. Please send us your feedback by 11.59pm on Thursday, 27 November 2025.
