Consultation: proposed changes to medical radiation technology fees 2027/28
27 Oct, 2026
The Board is consulting on a proposal to increase medical radiation technology fees for the 2027/28 practising year.
Before making a decision, the Board wants to hear from practitioners and other interested stakeholders and invites submissions. The easiest way to make a submission is by completing the online survey.
The proposed fee changes are intended to help the Board meet ongoing costs of carrying out its regulatory functions and responsibilities.
Proposed fee changes include:
- The Annual Practising Certificate (APC) fee would increase to $620.00 (inclusive of GST).
- The disciplinary levy would increase to $40.00 (inclusive of GST).
- A new fee may be introduced for the accreditation and monitoring of education programmes, set at $150.00 per hour/per person (inclusive of GST). Note: This fee would only apply to education providers.
- A new fee may be introduced – paid by those practitioners who require an endorsement added onto their scope of practice, set at $250.00 (inclusive of GST).
