We asked for your feedback – now the changes are confirmed

Between May and July 2025, we asked for your views on proposed changes to the practising certificate policy.

The purpose of this consultation was to align requirements for holding a practising certificate with those supported by research, and ensure the policy is consistent with other regulators.

What’s happening now

Thank you to everyone who took part and shared their views. Most of the feedback supported the proposed changes. As a result, the Board has decided to go ahead with the proposed changes, and used your input to update the practising certificate policy.
