Standards for Recertification Programmes
All recertification programmes for medical radiation technologists must be approved by the Board.
Providers of recertification programmes must apply to the Board for approval of their programme. All applications to provide a recertification programme will incur a non-refundable fee of $1000.00.
All applications to provide a recertification programme for medical radiation technologists (all scopes of practice) are assessed against a set of common standards. See link at bottom of this page to download a copy of the Board's policy for approval of recertification programmes.
Providers of recertification programmes are responsible for undertaking ongoing audits to ensure individual practitioners comply with the requirements of the recertification programme. Such audits are to be managed by a person/s outside of the provider agency.
